Making a career switch from Marine Industry to Financial Advisory was a big change for me. It started with a thought to take charge of my personal finance better more than 15 years ago and the desire to achieve financial freedom when I reach 55 years old.
The journey has a lot of Ups and Downs, many stressful periods learning the entirely new trade. With no sales and advisory background, it was a leap of faith for me. As the years went by, I learned that this wonderful business of ours brings great rewards. This involved knowing and applying the correct steps in financial planning, getting clients to put their trust and finally their money with me and my company. The satisfaction of implementing a sound financial planning is really beyond words of description.
The voluntary work with the industry started when IFPAS organized IFPAS-MediShield Life Pro Bono consultation. I am honored to served as team leader for Kolam Ayer Kallang Bahru RC. The experience had allowed me to give back to the society that supported and grow me. I am truly grateful.
I do hope to continue to contribute and give back as my small ways and build a better tomorrow for everyone.
