With 40 years in the industry, Mr. Leong Sow Hoe is a seasoned professional and a familiar name in financial services. He’s been a member of his company’s CEO Council for more than 20 years—a testament to his leadership and consistent performance.

Sow Hoe first served the association formerly known as the Life Underwriters Association of Singapore from 1989 to 1992, and returned in 2012 to continue contributing actively until today. He currently chairs the IFPAS Alliance STAR Team, where his leadership continues to shine.

Under his guidance, the committee has maintained strong engagement with the authorities—reflecting his commitment to uplifting the industry and enhancing the image of practitioners as trusted professionals who always put their clients and community first. Thanks to his dedication, IFPAS has grown to be recognised as the voice of the industry, focused on skills development and meaningful social engagement.

One of Sow Hoe’s standout initiatives was leading the IFPAS-MediShield Life Probono 1-to-1 Consultation, which successfully wrapped up in mid-2016. This initiative, made possible through close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the People’s Association, helped many Singaporeans better understand their healthcare coverage.

Even today, as an IFPAS council member, Sow Hoe remains actively involved—engaging stakeholders, mentoring younger council members, and helping shape the next generation of leaders in our industry.
